Chado Ralph Rucci Spring 2008 RTW

Interesting painted fabric in a familiar shape.

Pintucked sheer for this twinset. Details below.

One of many garments incorporating sheer or transparent bands for a floating effect.

A lovely dress with great detailing.

Interesting fabric detailing is a signature Rucci effect.

Darling ensemble with reptile skin.

Another pretty laced and faggoted effect.

Intricate detailing.

An unusual effect with the raised zipper.

More transparent bands and horizontal pintucks.

A very painterly effect with softened fabric edges and a cardigan made from fiber loops.

Gorgeous modern twinset with a textured organza pant.

Interesting shrug that looks like trapunto.

Very unusual straps with one diagonal spaghetti strap and one wider beaded strap. Beautiful effect of lightness with use of sheer painted fabric.

Darling textural tank and painted skirt.

Beautiful suit with transparent insets and edging, faggoted piecing and a great print. Very rounded shoulder shape.

A fabulous applique jacket, and look at the work below.

A beautiful evening look.

Almost a look of armor with a gorgeous overskirt, and another shrug, this time in reptile.

Liana .- greetings from Barcelona (Spain). Congratulations on these excellent chronic beam gateways. Your page is a good foothold for professionals and amateurs to the seam. Specifically, I love the creations of Ralh Rucci, excellent post. Greetings. Paco

I have been in love with the work of Ralph Rucci for a while now. When Geoffrey Beene died, I wondered who could assume his mantle as a true couturier. Ralph Rucci has done that and more. I am in awe of his artistic vision and technical eminence. I only wish I could see each detail up close. I saved the Martha Stewart show where they showed his seamstresses doing "worms" and double-faced construction. I can't wait to see what styles Vogue will pick next fall for coats and suits ala Rucci. Maybe we should make a few suggestions! What would you like to see as the next Rucci patterns?

That's not a very complete profile, but Oh Beauty! (you, not just the young dishes)

If you're insulted, kill me, I won't mind. Just tell me that you did.
