Givenchy Spring 2008 Couture

Some interesting cuts at Givenchy

I'm not sure this quite works, but I kind of like it.

Very unusual, to say the least.

Does this remind anyone else of Easter Eggs.

The 2nd pic from the bottom, the one with powder blue pants and greyish brown top, how in the world do you sew something like that? I'd like to have the pattern of that :).

I LOVE your sites Liana, 3 words, FA - BOU - LOUS!

Hi Ning, I assume you mean the bolero? I'm not sure what it's made of. Could be something like organza or organdy or even a non-woven interfacing type product. It's manipulated and probably glued or tacked to hold the shape, very much like the honeycomb shapes from party stores. I'm sure it's just for effect, to play up the textural, pleated effects in the collection, and it does catch the eye, doesn't it? It probably wouldn't be so hard to replicate. Just do each piece separately and put them together. Wouldn't it make a cute child's costume piece?
