Ralph Rucci Spring 2006 Couture

Rucci shows his Spring Couture at the end of the Fall RTW show. Here it is.

Another high contrast look, but using insets this time.

Tiny little draped tucks for the bodice.

And a close up.

Graphic prints always appeal.

Fabulously luxe evening wear.

Easy shapes let the print tell the story.

I believe this is embroidery.

Another chic "apres-beach" look.

I really think that it is the fabrics and the simple silhouttes that he uses that makes his collection so astounding. You definitely have highlighted some of his best pieces!

Carolyn, I just love the way he uses such simple lines, but with such complex ideas and construction. I think he's the most modern, almost futuristic of designers today, and almost all of his clothes would fit well as costumes for a sci-fi film, yet they are completely wearable today. That's good design!
