Luella Fall 2006 RTW
New Look chic a la Chanel.
Massively topstitched jeans jacket and a pearl-encrusted skirt.
Sheerness and volume.
Classic-fitting monogrammed cardigan with sailor-front pants.
The short trench looks very trendy over slim pants.
Sash-waisted garments do seem to be in this year. Cute bound edges on this jumper.
In case we didn't hear her say "punk," here's a safety-pin purse handle.
The tab-front cardigan makes an interesting silhouette against the top.
Quite a reinterpretation of CoCo Chanel on the beach, circa 1920.
Precise seaming and topstitching give this dress its shape. The prominent shoulder is definitely on its way back. Notice the equally intricate back of this dress below.
Here's the back of the previous dress.
Many "Chanelisms" in the details of this collection. This blouse shows several, with tucks, multiple rows of topstitching, rounded collar, satin bow, and even the zipper teeth used as trim fit right in.
