Dior Couture Spring 2006

John Galliano has done a collection that marries the French Revolution with the 2005 French Riots. It's supposed to be blood-soaked, and this effect is created with some beautifully done embroidery.

A very interesting leather treatment. Galliano had many voluminously wrapped outer garments.

Here's a detail shot of the leather cutwork.

Apparently we're still going to be seeing over the top encrustation, and it is still alluring when done well.

A very interesting print-scale. I like the postmark on the shoulder.
