Galliano

The detail shot shows the fabulous vintage-style ribbon and bead embellishment on this luxurious evening coat. He uses this style of hem treatment on several dresses too, and satin seems to be the fabric of choice throughout.
. .

Such a cute outfit with the plush polo collar and tab effect, embroidery and the buttoned wrap skirt.
.

Blouses again. Very cute style but a little too sheer for off-the-runway. The polka dot pants shape figures often in this collection, and is a stylized jodhpur. Another salute to The Aviator.
. .

Darling embellishment on this coat. Very classic looking.
.

Interesting neckline treatment on this jacket, and the tone-on-tone applique is very nice too.
.

Very interesting use of a sheer-looking print and varying grain directions. The black binding really brings the shape out.
.

This is such an unusual use of fabric trim, and a very nice juxtaposition of material, with the lace under the printed sheer, and the extremely low cowl. He shows dresses with more usual cowl necks also. Polka dots seem to figure this year in quite a few collections. This shoulder strap and halter combination are used again below in the painted dress.
.

Absolutely modern in effect because of the print. What fun to paint your own on your dress.
.

This is such a strong, almost gaudy color and print, but the shape is wonderful. Think of a Poiret sketch, with a velvet coat and sable collar, and there it is. This is actually a knit fabric. This is eminently wearable in a slightly different incarnation.
